Biggest Loser: Week 4
I realized in my Biggest Loser excitement I jumped ahead a week last week. Last week was week 3, not week 4, so I had to go back and correct my entry. Sorry for the confusion...
But on to Week 4 for real this time!
WHOOT, WHOOT!!! Guess who was the Biggest Loser of them all last week?? ME!!! Not only did I beat all the girls, but I also beat all the guys this week, too! (No easy feat since Michael and Josh V are tough competition!) As of Sunday, I have officially lost TEN pounds from the start. {Insert Happy Dance here.} Ten pounds was my overall goal for the whole challenge, and here I've accomplished that in a month. Not too shabby! But I'm not giving up... I've set a new weight goal (might as well be ambitious). The new goal is another 7 pounds, which would put me back at my wedding weight. (Say what??!!) Yep, hoping to get back down to my 27-year-old physique.
Week 4 was a tough week since it started with Super Bowl Sunday. Having just weighed in that morning, we figured we could splurge a little that day and still have the rest of the week to work it off. I grazed all day. One thing I've begun to notice is that I feel full faster much more than I used to, and if I keep eating (which I generally do because I love to eat) I just end up feeling bloated and uncomfortable. Guess that's my body telling me it is no longer used to eating so much! Slowly, I am learning to be satisfied with smaller portions.
With my office very close to the gym, I squeezed in 2 lunchtime workouts, one of which was a 3-mile run on the treadmill. Lunchtime workouts are something I'm going to try to do at least once a week (note to self: less sweaty workouts in the future). On Saturday I ran FIVE miles, my first 5-miler in about a year. And you know what? It actually felt really good. I pulled out my half marathon training, and I was supposed to be at 5 miles by now, so I am happy to see I'm not as far behind as I thought.
We're a month in now, and people are starting to notice the changes! The guys are looking trim, and Josh V even joked that he's not going to lose any more weight because he'll have to go buy all new clothes. (At least I hope it's just a joke!) Looking good, boys! I'm just now starting to see the changes in myself, and someone told me yesterday that my face looks thinner. (Always the way, isn't it, to lose weight from the top-down instead of the bottom-up?)
I hope everyone else in the group is seeing and feeling differences, too, because it's very rewarding and motivating!

I love these posts! They are so motivating! Could you send me and Christie the half marathon training spreadsheet? Neither of us can seem to hunt it down! Congrats again! Now go celebrate with some cupcakes! Haha!
