| Just before haircut #4 |
Having taken him to one of those kids' haircut places in the past (#2 and #3), I wasn't excited about spending nearly $20 for his haircut this time. His little playmate has his hair cut at Supercuts ($13), and his Mommy recommended their lady. Her name is Rosa, and she is the sweetest Latin grandmother who kept telling me how thick his hair is.
I came armed with grapes and snacks and thought I'd timed our visit during his "happy" time. It didn't matter. As soon as she started messing with his tresses, he started crying, and kept crying the entire time. Even Rosa's sweet conversation and attempts to calm him failed. She really was the most patient, wonderful lady -- and thankfully she was quick! She was able to get in there and get him all trimmed up in no time. It was a terribly traumatic experience for him, and the poor guy really didn't calm down until he was safely back in the car. But look at the result:

So handsome! It really changes his whole new look and always seems to age 4 years after a haircut.
Doesn't he look like a big boy now? (sniff, sniff)
I'm gonna grab a spoon... and eat him up!! SO stinkin' cute! I think it's a boy's right of passage to hate the "barber"... still don't have Chase and Luke fully back into professional haircut mode.
ReplyDeleteNot only does he look like a BIG boy, but he kinda looks a bit like Kevin at that age with the shorter hair! I just did a double take... especially in that last picture!
