Nine months. We took Adam to the pediatrician yesterday morning for his 9-month checkup. As always, he was weighed and measured, and not surprisingly, our little peanut is still a little peanut. Here are his stats:
Length: 28"
Weight: 16' 14"
Head: 17.5"

He has remained around the 10th percentile for weight consistently over the months, and his height is in the 50th percentile -- long and lean. The doctor has never been concerned by this. This appointment also required blood work, and we took him down to the lab to have his finger prick. At first poke he had no response, but just when we thought we
just may get away without the waterworks, the first cry came out. He was not a fan of the nurse squeezing his little finger to fill her sample.
After he was bandaged back up we returned to our exam room and spoke with the doctor. The doc gave him a clean bill of health, blood tests were normal, and he declared him a "good looking boy", which of course we already knew. We spoke about his diet and nutritional needs, and we now have permission to start meats with him. Our active little man needs the calories. Meals have become more of an adventure these days as he wants to start self-feeding more. (I have become proficient at stain treating!)
At the very end of the appointment he received his Hepatitis B vaccine and the flu shot. We return next month for his follow-up Flu shot booster. And, undoubtedly, to confirm our peanut is still a little peanut.
Awww... those pictures make me want to squeeze the little guy! Poor little dude. Maybe your next post should be about stain removal.... you sound like you're better at it than me! :)
