Adam's birthday was a great day! We spent the morning at the park with our friends Amy and Wylie for our usual Thursday morning walk and playground fun. The weather was beautiful, if not a little brisk in the morning.
That night we had Gramma over for dinner and a small, family birthday party for Adam. We got started on dinner late, so by the time the cake rolled around Adam was pretty much ready to be anywhere other than his high chair. Gramma had made an icebox cake like Great-Pop-Pop used to make out of chocolate wafer cookies and whipped cream in the shape of a 1. Aunt Angie and cousin Kyle skyped in and helped us sing Happy Birthday, and then we all watched as Adam completely ignored his cake. Didn't even touch it. The only time he kind of touched it was when he was trying to push it away, so we didn't get the traditional baby-covered-in-icing photo this time. Here's hoping he'll at least sample his cake at his party this afternoon.

The house is all decorated. Gramma's house has been turned into MIA airport (Moreland International) with planes circling the ceiling and others coming in for a landing. As mentioned before, I tried to keep things simple....but... well, it was just so gosh-darn fun to run with the airplane theme! We made the cake last night and everything is so cute! I can't wait to show you all the
